A類和B類機房在選擇場地上，應遵守以下要求：
1.應避開易發生火災危險程度高的地方
2.應避開有害氣體來源及存放腐蝕、易燃、易爆物品的地方
3.應避開低洼、潮濕、落雷區域和地震頻繁的地方
4.應避開強振動源和強噪音源
5.應避開強電磁場的干擾
6.應避開設在建築物的高層或地下室及引水設備的下層或隔壁
7.應避開重鹽害地區
此外，A類機房還應將其置於建築物的安全區內。
至於，C類機房，或參照B類機房各條執行。
